Timber Care
Solid timber is a natural material that responds to its environment and develops character with age. Changes in temperature and humidity can cause subtle movement throughout the year. Small cracks may appear during dry periods and gently close again as moisture returns. Knots, sap lines and other natural markings are inherent to the material.
Wipe spills immediately with a clean, damp cloth and dry the surface completely. Use water only; avoid all-purpose sprays and silicone-based polishes.
Keep pieces away from prolonged direct sunlight, heating and air-conditioning, which can dry the timber or cause discolouration.
Always use coasters and protective pads. Solid timber is durable, but it will mark with use.
Shipping
Our work is designed and handcrafted in Northern NSW, Australia.
We offer complimentary delivery throughout the Tweed Valley, Tweed Coast and surrounding Northern Rivers region (within 50 km of our Murwillumbah studio).
For elsewhere in Australia, we arrange delivery through professional furniture freight partners. Shipping is quoted individually based on the piece and destination.

Returns
We do not offer returns or exchanges for change of mind.
If your piece arrives damaged, is faulty or does not match its description, please email hello@chatterton.studio and we’ll work with you on the appropriate remedy.
Natural variations in colour, grain and markings are inherent to solid timber and will differ from piece to piece.

How do I purchase a piece?
Pieces in our Shop are available to purchase by enquiry.
Browse the Shop and, when you find a piece you’re interested in, select ‘Enquire’ on the product page and include your suburb and postcode. We’ll confirm availability and provide a shipping quote based on your location.
If you’d like to proceed, we’ll arrange payment and finalise the order.

Are your pieces ready to ship?
Yes. Pieces listed in our Shop are existing works and available to purchase unless otherwise noted.

Who makes your pieces?
Each piece is made by Isaac in our Northern NSW workshop.

Who designs your pieces?
Isaac and Alex. Ideas develop collaboratively between us through conversation, sketches, living with our pieces and a lot of back and forth.

Do you take on custom projects?
Yes. We take on a small number of commissions and collaborative projects, prioritising work that feels aligned with the studio.

Can you re-make an archive piece?
We’re open to revisiting past work, although we don’t always reproduce pieces exactly.

Where is Chatterton Studio based?
Chatterton Studio is based just outside Murwillumbah in Northern NSW, Australia. Our work is designed and made here in our studio and workshop.
Visits are by appointment only.
